Crediton is just minutes away (birthplace of St. Boniface 680 - 755 AD) and lies in the famous Creedy valley, recently famous for its possible gold deposits in the area. The town itself hosts a variety of shops, a large Somerfield store, a sports centre, new indoor swimming pool, the beautiful historic Holy Cross church, with local train links at Crediton (Exeter / Barnstaple line), and taxi service. Choose one of the many eating out places either in town or discover a quiet country pub, alternatively nip into town for a take away and bottle of wine for a quiet night in. Guests are welcome to stroll around the 18th century picturesque estate lakes opposite, abundant with habitats and alive with wildlife, especially birds. There are scenic walks locally, cycle trails and routes, boots & bikes are welcome. The historic Cathedral City of Exeter (motorway access M5 Jnct 29 or 30) lies just 8 miles away with good shopping and entertainment amenities. The nearest beach, Exmouth, is 40 minutes away to the South coast whilst the rugged dunes of the North coast is approximately 60 minutes drive by car, stroll coastal paths and sandy beaches.
